• Cereus peruvianus f. cristatus hort.: has fan-shaped, whorled, grey-green to blue-green stems, growing to 1 metre tall by the same width.
• Cereus peruvianus var. monstruosus DC.
• Cereus peruvianus var. monstruosus f. variegatus hort.: has fan shaped or whorled monstrous stems, grey-green to blue-green variegated in yellow and short, reddish bristle-like spines that drop off very early.
