Cultivation and Propagation: Dyckia 'Yellow Glow' is easy to grow, but challenging to turn yellow. Light and maturity are factors in coloring, but all plants color in time.
Soil: Mixed with organic material. Dyckias need lots of room since they are terrestrials. You need to keep up with the potting.
Exposition: Full sun on this Dyckia.
Watering: This plant can communicate with its owner indicating when it's time to step up watering and fertilizer by the fact that it starts turning solid green. Yellow Glow' especially does not like to be stressed which means being in the right size pot and not allowed to dry out and stay dry. Easing the stress may only mean more frequent watering.
Fertilization: Feed once and then let the Dyckia grow. Sometimes as the fertilizer wears away, it seems to trigger that yellow flush.
Propagation: Split up larger clumps and pot them. If you want to grow them in large clumps would step up them to larger pots.
